Experts say that winter is when you are most likely to experience issues with equipment, they say, getting ahead of the season can prevent future headaches for homeowners.
Mike Hutchings, Senior Plumbing Technician at Campbell and Company Heating & Air says. ” If they have dirty filters and if other components and their control boards are going bad, not working as well as they should, then the heaters are going to run longer, causing more electricity. The water heater as well, the electric water heaters are going to stay on longer to try to heat that water, so your heating bill goes up, because of the heating and the plumbing.”
Hutchings says, heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical are the heart of any home saying that taking care of yours is a good way to sleep sound at night, especially when it’s cold outside.
