Great Wedding Cities in Washington State

When most people think of the state of Washington, the very first city that comes to mind is Seattle. Though Seattle is a great city, there are several other great cities where couples can get married. Washington State as a whole is home to some of the most scenic views and picturesque landscapes that one could imagine, so pretty much anywhere that you can stand is a great place to get married. But to get you the best bang for your buck, here are a few of my personal favorite choices.

Seattle

This one should go without saying, but others may say that it’s not stated enough. Seattle is one of the best places on Earth to have a wedding, so of course it tops this list. Whether you’re into the hipster style wedding scene or you just want something classy and elegant, Seattle has the perfect venue for you. Best of all, the international airport means that family and friends can fly in from out of state without too much hassle or too many outrageous costs.

Spokane

Spokane is much more rural and naturally beautiful than Seattle, and that can make it an ideal place for a wedding. You won’t be bound by the rules and restrictions you find in the larger cities so you’ll be able to use sparklers at your wedding without any problems. If you opt to have your wedding in Spokane, you should probably consider having it outdoors as your first choice. With so much natural beauty around, you can save a lot of money versus trying to decorate the inside of a reception hall.

Tacoma

This is another great outdoor wedding city in Washington, but for its very own reasons. You won’t get a better view of the mountain from anywhere, and it is the [perfect backdrop while you’re saying your vows. Also, with the vast amount of waterways in the area, you can get out to do some fishing or grab a few kayaks and paddle around. If getting into nature is part of your wedding plans, then Tacoma should be the first place you check out.

Olympia

As the capital of Washington, Olympia is the perfect blend of everything that makes our state so magnificent. You have the elegance and class of a major city, the friendliness and charm of a small town, and the scenic beauty of Washington’s finest offerings. Olympia truly is the melting pot of everything related to Washington, so it is a fantastic spot to have your wedding. As an added bonus, it’s much cheaper in Olympia than it is Seattle, so you can get a lot more for your money. Happy planning!
